GodsKids.ai is operated by Timely Church LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our"). We are deeply committed to protecting the privacy of every child and family who uses our platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and your rights as a parent or guardian.
Because our service is specifically designed for children, we take our privacy obligations seriously. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA). If you have any questions about this policy, please contact us at the address listed at the bottom of this page.
1. Information We Collect
From Parents and Guardians
- Name and email address — used for account creation, magic-link login, safety alerts, and weekly reports.
- Billing information — payment card details and billing name are collected and processed by Stripe on our behalf. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
From Children
- Display name — first name only, set by the parent.
- Age bracket — used to provide age-appropriate AI responses (e.g., Elementary, Middle School, High School).
- Username — chosen during child account setup, used for login.
- Chat conversations — all messages sent to and received from the AI tutor are stored so parents can review them from the parent dashboard.
Collected Automatically
- Browser type and device information — collected via standard web server logs.
- Session data — used to keep users logged in during a browsing session.
- Cookies — session cookies only; see Section 9 for details.
- Browser fingerprint — collected on the free demo page only, for abuse prevention. Not used on child accounts.
What We Do NOT Collect
- Full birth dates of children
- Social security numbers
- Physical addresses from children
- Photos or videos of children
- Location data
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Providing AI tutoring services — delivering age-appropriate, Christ-centered educational responses to your children.
- Safety monitoring and parent alerts — scanning conversations for concerning keywords and notifying parents immediately when safety issues arise.
- Billing and account management — processing subscription payments, managing account tiers, and handling cancellations.
- Email notifications — sending safety alerts, weekly usage reports, and important account updates to parents.
- Improving our service — analyzing usage patterns in aggregate to make GodsKids.ai better for all families.
We do NOT use children's data for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not create advertising profiles, serve targeted ads, or share children's information with marketing companies. We do not sell any personal information — ever.
3. How We Protect Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
GodsKids.ai is designed from the ground up with children's privacy in mind. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Here is how:
- All child accounts are created by parents or guardians — children cannot create their own accounts.
- We require parental consent before collecting any personal information from a child. Creating a parent account and adding a child constitutes verifiable parental consent.
- Parents can review all of their child's chat history at any time from the parent dashboard.
- Parents can request deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting us.
- Parents can restrict further data collection by deactivating a child's account from the dashboard.
- We only collect information that is necessary to provide the tutoring service — nothing more.
- Children cannot make purchases, access billing information, or modify account settings beyond their own chat preferences.
4. Anonymization of Chat Messages
Before any chat message is transmitted to our AI provider, it is automatically processed by our anonymization system to remove personal identifiers. Specifically:
- Names are replaced with the token
[student].
- Email addresses found in the text are stripped out.
- Phone numbers are removed.
- Physical addresses are removed.
However, no automated system is perfect. We encourage parents to remind their children not to share personal details — such as their last name, school name, home address, or phone number — in chat messages.
The content of educational questions (after anonymization) is transmitted to our AI provider to generate a tutoring response. The full, unmodified conversation is stored on our servers for parent review purposes only.
5. Third-Party Services
We work with a small number of carefully selected third-party providers to operate GodsKids.ai. We do not share children's personal information with any third party for advertising, marketing, or any purpose unrelated to the tutoring service.
xAI (Grok API)
We use xAI's Grok API to generate AI tutoring responses. Anonymized chat messages (with personal identifiers removed as described in Section 4) are transmitted to xAI to generate responses. xAI processes this data solely to produce the AI response. We recommend reviewing xAI's Privacy Policy to understand how they handle data on their end.
Stripe
Billing and payment processing is handled by Stripe. We share the parent's name, email address, and payment card information with Stripe for this purpose. No child data is ever sent to Stripe. Stripe is a PCI-compliant payment processor. Review Stripe's Privacy Policy for details.
EmailIt
We use EmailIt to deliver transactional emails such as magic login links, safety alerts, and weekly reports. Parent email addresses are shared with EmailIt for the purpose of delivering these messages.
Contabo
Our application and any uploaded files are hosted on Contabo cloud servers located in the United States. Your data is stored on US-based infrastructure.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
- Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- Chat history is retained while the account is active so that parents can review it from the parent dashboard. Parents may request deletion of specific chat records at any time.
- Upon account deletion, all personal data associated with that account is permanently removed within 30 days.
- Parents can request immediate deletion of their account and all associated data by contacting us at .
- Backup copies of data may persist for up to 90 days in automated backup systems before being automatically purged.
7. Your Rights (Texas Data Privacy and Security Act)
As a Texas resident, you have the following rights regarding your personal data under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA):

- Right to access — You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you.

8. Cookies and Tracking
- Session cookies — We use session cookies to keep users logged in during an active session. These are strictly necessary for the service to function.

9. Changes to This Policy
